A protest took place in Calgary ahead of the commencement of this year's Group of Seven (G7) summit.

Originally scheduled to begin on Sunday, the summit has been shortened to two days and will officially commence on Monday, as world leaders begin arriving in Kananaskis, Alberta, about 100 kilometers away from Calgary. (Photo by Li Haitao/Xinhua)
