The Detroit Red Wings scored four goals in the first eight minutes and extended their winning streak to seven games by romping past the visiting Seattle Kraken 6-2 on Sunday.
Marco Kasper, J.T. Compher, Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane scored during the early onslaught, while Erik Gustafsson and Dylan Larkin added on in the second period. Cam Talbot stopped 31 shots as Detroit matched its longest winning streak since Jan. 12-23, 2012.
Seattle starting goaltender Philipp Grubauer was removed after giving up three goals on four shots. Joey Daccord replaced him and made 16 saves.
Oliver Bjorkstrand and Matty Beniers scored for the Kraken, who have lost five of their last six games.
Lightning 5, Penguins 2

Kucherov scored twice to reach 20 for the season before Anthony Cirelli and Nick Paul produced goals into an empty net. Brandon Hagel reached 20 goals and had an assist, while Jake Guentzel had two helpers for the Lightning. Backup goalie Jonas Johansson stopped 31 shots.

The 22-year-old Merilainen made 29 saves in a 5-0 win against the host Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday, earning his first NHL shutout in his sixth start. Evgenii Dadonov had a goal and an assist, Jason Robertson also scored and Casey DeSmith made 25 saves for the Stars, who also had their nine-game point streak snapped (8-0-1), their longest in three seasons under coach Pete DeBoer.

Jansen Harkins scored his first goal of the season and goalie Lukas Dostal made 35 saves for the Ducks, who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Andrei Svechnikov and Seth Jarvis had the Hurricanes' goals. Pyotr Kochetkov stopped 17 shots, but it wasn't enough on a day when former team captain Eric Staal had his No. 12 jersey retired.

Tomas Hertl had a goal and an assist, Shea Theodore and Mark Stone added two assists apiece, and Keegan Kolesar also scored for the Golden Knights, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Adin Hill stopped 15 of 16 shots.
