MARKHAM, ON / ACCESSWIRE / August 9, 2022 / Biolab Pharma announced today the acquisition of the Canadian healthcare business, Exzell Pharma, based in Markham, Ontario. The deal represents another significant step to strengthen its international presence by acquiring a sales and marketing infrastructure as well as important established brands such as Swiss Naturals, Salinex, Esoph, and Myoflex.

Biolab Pharma is a subsidiary of Biolab Farmacêutica with headquarters in Brazil. The company arrived in Canada in 2017, with the establishment of a research and development facility. In this first phase, the priorities were to get a better grasp of the legislation and the product registration process, plus certifying the company's factories in Brazil for export.

Exzell maintains a portfolio focused primarily on gastroenterology, dermatology, vitamins, and supplements. The acquisition of Exzell and the incorporation of its product line will also help Biolab bring synergies to its own R&D efforts as well to its global licensing and partnering activities.
