Early morning blast, string of fires shake Regina neighbourhood

REGINA -- A woman is in hospital and more than 60 homes were evacuated after a string of fires and an explosion shattered the early morning calm of a Regina neighbourhood Monday.Helen Neiles, who was sleeping at the time of the blast, is in serious condition in hospital after she was blown out of her house."She was able to say that there was an explosion, that she had ended up in the backyard," said Eunice Polasek, who lives across the street.Polasek awoke to a frantically ringing doorbell, and when she answered the door, Neiles literally fell into her arms."(She said) she was blown out.
