Canada's Botterill retires from women's hockey

Three-time Olympic gold medallist Jennifer Botterill -- one of only four Canadian women to compete in all four Winter Games -- is hanging up her skates, Hockey Canada announced on Monday. On the national team, Botterill recorded 65 goals and 109 assists for 174 points while, which ranks fifth all-time. She played in 184 career games for Canada, behind only Hayley Wickenheiser and Jayna Hefford. In a career that spanned 14 seasons, the Winnipeg native won 16 gold medals with Canada's national team. Aside from her three Olympic golds (2002, 2006, 2010), Botterill has been part of five world titles and seven Four Nations Cup golds.
